Before you try to remove an AI label on Facebook

Read the information attached to the label first. Meta’s published approach includes industry signals and creator disclosure; a metadata cleaner only addresses a subset of file-level signals. The wording and available controls can vary with the content and interface.

If a business page has already published the image, changing a local copy does not change the post, its engagement or the version Facebook stores. Keep a record of the label and the original export if you need to ask the platform to review it.

Prepare a photo export you understand

1. Save the original photograph and edit history separately from your shareable export.
2. Inspect the exact exported file, not just the source image from your camera.
3. Review the privacy trade-off. Both modes remove XMP and IPTC, which may also hold captions or copyright credits.
4. Clean only when appropriate for your workflow. Download the verified result and check its appearance.

Page managers: check the whole publishing package

A scheduled post may contain multiple images, an independent thumbnail, or a video. Keep file names clear so the person publishing knows which version was inspected. The ZIP download adds a numeric prefix to each output so duplicate original names do not overwrite one another inside the archive.

If someone re-exports an image after cleanup, inspect the new export. A scheduling service or social platform may also rewrite files. This tool can verify its own output, but it cannot predict every later transformation.
